Welcome to the education pages of the Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey website.
This website is designed for teachers researching the education provision that we offer, for staff requiring reminiscence sessions, and for parents looking for places to take their children on a family day out.
For all these groups, the Museum and Abbey, which are both part of the same site, offer a marvellous setting for a great day out, not to mention the opportunity for the museum to come to you in the form of outreach.
The site, with its large open spaces, huge variety of objects and settings, and specialised education facilities provides a pleasant and stimulating learning environment, whether you are coming on an organised school visit or just dropping in.

A two-site visit to learn about attitudes to waste and recycling both now and in the past.

A box crammed full of replica Tudor objects - clothing, household goods, militaria, games, - as might have been used during the reigns of Henry VIII or Elizabeth I.
Available for outreach bookings or for visits to the museum.
