Welcome to the website of the Farmland Museum and Denny Abbey, the centre of Cambridgeshire and Fenland rural life.
This website is designed for teachers researching the education provision that we offer, for staff requiring reminiscence sessions, and for parents looking for places to take their children on a family day out.
For all these groups, the Museum and Abbey, which are both part of the same site, offer a marvellous setting for a great day out, not to mention the opportunity for the museum to come to you in the form of outreach.
The site, with its large open spaces, huge variety of objects and settings, and specialised education facilities provides a pleasant and stimulating learning environment, whether you are coming on an organised school visit or just dropping in.
We look forward to welcoming you here.
Use the resources of the Abbey and the Farmland Museum to investigate materials, how things work, and how improvements in technology have been made over time.
